Back to Hepatix

Terms

Last updated 30 July 2026. Using Hepatix means agreeing to this. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Who you are agreeing with

Hepatix is operated by WickedSelf LLC, 7171 E Paradise Ln, Unit 693, Scottsdale, AZ 85254, United States. Questions go to support@wickedself.com.

The most important part

Hepatix is not medical care and does not provide medical advice. It is a nutrition, movement and education app. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or change any condition, and it makes no promise about your liver or your health.

Where the app cites research, that research is about diet, movement and fatty liver in general, published by organisations such as NIH, Mayo Clinic, AASLD, EASL and the British Liver Trust. It is not a statement about you and not a prediction of what will happen to you. Nothing here replaces a conversation with your doctor, and you should not delay or ignore medical advice because of something you read in the app.

If you are having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency service. If you are in crisis in the United States, call or text 988.

Food scores are about food

Explore Foods rates a dish on how closely it follows published dietary guidance, and shows estimated calories and macronutrients. Those numbers are estimates built from a nutrition database and a visual guess at portion size. They are frequently wrong about portions and hidden fats. They describe the food, not you, and they are not a measurement of you or of any organ. Do not use them to manage a medical condition.

Age

You must be 16 or older. Onboarding asks for your year of birth and will not let you continue below that age.

Your account

You can use the daily loop without an account. If you add an email, we sign you in with a magic link, so anyone with access to your inbox can access your account. Keep your email secure and tell us if you think someone else has used it.

You are responsible for what you put into the app, including the free-text answer to "what brought you here" and anything you share through a Care Circle link.

What it costs

  • The daily loop is free, permanently. Choosing an action, doing it, and the celebration are not behind a paywall and are not planned to be.
  • 14 days of full access, free, with no card. Because there is no card, there is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund when it ends. It simply stops.
  • Premium is $6.99 per month or $49.99 per year. It adds fresh AI suggestions on demand, deeper personalisation, and history.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies where you live. If we change prices, the change applies from your next renewal and we will tell you first.

Billing and cancelling

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time from Settings, which opens Stripe's billing portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not pro-rate part-months.

Refunds: if you are unhappy, email us. If you are in the UK or the EEA you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel a purchase; by starting a subscription you agree we may begin providing it immediately, and if you then cancel within 14 days you may be charged for what you used. Australian consumers keep their rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing here limits them.

Reminders

Reminders are opt-in and off unless you turn them on. They are delivered by your browser or operating system through Apple, Google or Mozilla, so we cannot guarantee delivery or timing. On iPhone they only work if you have added Hepatix to your Home Screen. You can turn them off at any time in Settings.

Care Circle

A Care Circle link has no password. Anyone who has it can see the first name you chose, the first 200 characters of your "what brought you here" text, and how many actions you have completed. Only share it with someone you trust, and revoke it in Settings when you want it to stop working.

What you agree not to do

  • Use Hepatix to give anyone else medical advice, or present it as a clinical tool.
  • Scrape it, resell access, or use it to build a competing dataset.
  • Attempt to reach data belonging to other people, or to break the app for others.
  • Upload anything unlawful, or an image you do not have the right to send.

Our content and yours

The app, its writing, its imagery and its ratings belong to us. Cited research belongs to the organisations that published it and is quoted with attribution.

What you write stays yours. You give us permission to store and display it back to you in order to run the app, and to show the limited parts described above to anyone you give a Care Circle link. If you send feedback and tick the box saying we may quote it, you are giving us permission to do so; without that tick we will not.

Availability

We do not promise the app will be available uninterrupted. The daily loop works offline once you have opened the app, but anything needing our servers will not. We may change or remove features, and if we remove something you are paying for, you can cancel and we will refund the unused part.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited, including your rights as a consumer in the UK, the EU and Australia.

Ending it

You can stop at any time by deleting your data in Settings or asking us to delete your account. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, and we will explain why unless we are prevented from doing so.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you and we both consent to that venue.

If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, or your right to bring a claim in your local courts. Consumers in the UK, the EEA and Australia keep every right their own law gives them.

Changes

If we change these terms materially we will tell you in the app before the change applies to you. The date at the top is the version you are reading.
